If you missed yesterday’s webinar where we learned how to create custom tabs for our Facebook pages, you can watch the recording here!
If you still have any questions, please post them in the comments below; I’m glad to help. And if you watch this video but it’s still not something you think you can do (or want to mess with), I can create your custom tabs for you, along with graphics and content. Just click here to find out more!
Thanks to everyone who attended the webinar, and please post in the comments below if you have any requests for other webinar topics to cover!
P.S. Have you heard about the Shelter Marketing Master Class at Sea? It’s going to be awesome….

Thanks for the webinar! I got interrupted by someone at the door with three bottle-baby kittens, so thank you for making it available on line. I’m looking forward to finishing up work on my FB page.
Thank you so much for doing this web instructions, you made it simple enough that even those of us that are completely blond can do it!!
Hey there, this video has been a great deal of help to me but I was wondering what I would do to have the actual paypal button on the facebook page itself and not have to add a new tab to add it under…if that makes any sense.
Hi Emily,
If I understand you correctly, what you want to do is not possible. the best way to do it would be to just post a link to your donate page (on your website or elsewhere) on your Facebook wall–like sharing a link, status update, etc. This would, of course, only be visible in fans’ news streams for a very short time, and if you kept posting it over and over, people would get pretty tired of it. There’s no other way to do it except to put it on a tab; that is what everyone is doing and it is really the accepted way to do it.
You have NO idea (maybe you do) HOW MUCH searching around I have done to find out HOW TO DO EXACTLY what your videos show. Only to find myself trapped in a bunch of applications that I dont want to be in.. All I wanted was simple stuff, straight forward just get it done without all of someone else’s fluff… I am saying thank you. Though it I feel like I need to say more…
Very Grateful, “Thank You”!
Thank you so much, Emma! that really means a lot to me, because I do all of this to help people. I’m glad you were able to get the info you needed! If you would be my fan on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/thesocialanimal) that would be much appreciated. Good luck to you!
Thanks for all the info! I created 2 tabs following your instructions and all worked well, except…
I added my Google Calendar for a “Game Schedule” tab but it only displays in FB if I am also logged into my Google Calendar on another browser page.
Did I miss something?
Hi Doug,
It sounds like your calendar is not PUBLIC. You need to make the calendar public, or only you (when you’re logged in) will be able to view it. This is under your calendar settings in Google Calendar, not on Facebook. It’s on the same page where you get the code for your Google calendar.
facebook page =eighth street baptist church. well i thot i put a new tab on the page, the “welcome” is there but when i click on it i do not get a page to edit, only the same facebook page. can you tell me what i am doing wrong. thanks so much.
Hi AJ,
I went to your page and clicked on the welcome tab; I see the picture of the church and the “contribute now” button. When I click on the button, I go to Paypal–so it looks like everything is working fine! Good job!
Thank you!!!!! Best advice i have found. Great webinar! I have a fundraiser to help babies in need from disabled single mom. I was able to post the paypal button. http://www.facebook.com/abetterbeginningforbabies
Hi Emily! How does this work with the new facebook pages? I tried to put a paypal button on my page and it doesn’t take you to paypal. I saw your new video about creating your own button, but the new fb pages doesn’t seem to have a place where you can add a photo. I’m so confused! Please help!
Hi Stacy,
It works the same way–you install the app the same way. Everything works the same way within the app. You do need to use your own button image, and the Paypal button LINK instead of the full button code (as you saw in that second video) otherwise it just returns a blank page. But you follow all the same steps to install the HTML app on your page, and then you just go to the app once it’s installed, and put in your HTML code and content there. I can do this for you for a small fee, if you’re interested.
