I have seen nonprofits cautiously embrace social media over the last five years, but they still aren’t completely sure how to use it for fundraising. This session will teach you how, and help you get you Executive Director and Board of Directors excited too! We’ll look at successful social media fundraising campaigns, and some not-so-successful ones, and break down how and why they worked or didn’t work. I’ll share my 5 secrets that make my campaigns meet their goals 100% of the time.
If you need to claim a page or place that belongs to you, but you don’t have control over it, watch this video for help on what to do and how to actually email to a person at Facebook.
This video shows you how to use a static iFrame app (it’s okay if you have no idea what that is!) to put custom content on your Facebook page–like a donate button, a list of adoptable pets, a volunteer application or anything you want! It’s slow, step-by-step and walks you through the entire process.
On March 30, 2012, ALL Facebook pages will automatically switch to the new Timeline layout. Whether you like it or not, Timeline is here for your business or organization page, so you might as well make the most of it! I’ll show you tricks to customize your page and get it launched, and then I’ll walk you through the anatomy of the Timeline and what you can do with it.
On March 30, 2012, Facebook will convert all pages (not just profiles anymore!) to the Timeline layout. You’ll be able to exchange private messages with your fans, plus control which apps show at the top of your page (and have much greater visibility for the apps you have installed, like donate pages, lists of adoptable animals, etc.) This video walks you through the changes and how to prepare.
In last week’s webinar about creating custom tabs on your Facebook pages, we talked about inserting a Paypal donate button. Some of you were getting error messages from the donate button that wouldn’t let donors progress on to the donate page. So I’ve come up with a workaround, explained in this video.
If you missed yesterday’s webinar where we learned how to create custom tabs for our Facebook pages, you can watch the recording here!
If you still have any questions, please post them in the comments below; I’m glad to help.
Are you using Facebook to its fullest potential? You can have more on your Facebook page than the usual Photos, Wall, Events, etc. You could have a donate page, or a listing of your adoptable animals, or a photo gallery, or an email list signup box, or a calendar, or an event invitation…the list goes on and on! Join us this Thursday, September 1, at 12:00 pm Central for this free webinar!
Watch a video recording of today’s webinar, “Facebook for Total Beginners,” and let me know what questions you have, and what types of webinars YOU would like to attend!
